These rules keep Local in English useful, safe and fair for readers, members and local advertisers.

Accepting these terms

By using Local in English you agree to these Terms of Use. If you create an account, post content, contact another member or buy advertising, you also agree to the rules applying to those features. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. A parent or legal guardian must supervise use by anyone younger.

Using the site

You may browse public information and, where available, create an account to post, reply, list an item or contact a seller. You are responsible for information submitted through your account, keeping your sign-in details secure and notifying us if you believe your account has been misused.

Community standards

Do not post unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, discriminatory, threatening or deliberately misleading material; spam; impersonation; personal information you do not have permission to share; or content that infringes another person’s rights. We may review, refuse, restrict, reformat or remove submissions, and may warn or suspend accounts when reasonably necessary to protect members or the service.

Your content

You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Richard Paul RPS a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, format and display that content only as needed to operate, promote and improve Local in English. This licence ends when the content is deleted, except for cached copies, backups, legal records and content already shared by others where continued retention is reasonably necessary.

Copyright and complaints

Only submit content you created or are entitled to use. To report copyright infringement, privacy concerns or unlawful material, use the contact page and identify the content, its location and the reason for your request. We may temporarily restrict content while reviewing a credible complaint.

Classifieds

Local in English helps members discover listings; Richard Paul RPS is not the seller, buyer, payment processor or party to a transaction. Check the item and the other party carefully, use a safe meeting arrangement and never send money merely because a listing appears on the site.

Editorial information

We aim for accurate, timely and useful information, but automated feeds, translations, summaries, maps and third-party sources can be delayed, incomplete or wrong. Maps describe reported affected areas and do not guarantee live road speed. Always follow the responsible authority for emergencies, official deadlines, legal requirements and safety instructions.

Advertising

Paid placements are labelled. Advertisers are responsible for their claims, intellectual-property rights and destination pages. Payment does not influence editorial decisions or ordinary Community recommendations. Separate agreed advertising terms may also apply to a campaign.

Availability and liability

The service is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not responsible for losses caused by reliance on third-party information, member conduct, Classified transactions or temporary service interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Suspension and ending use

You may stop using the service at any time and may request account deletion through the contact page. We may restrict or close an account for a serious or repeated breach, fraud, security risk or legal requirement. Where appropriate, we will consider the circumstances and any available explanation.

Luxembourg law

These terms are governed by Luxembourg law. Mandatory consumer protections and any mandatory right to bring a claim in another competent court remain unaffected.

We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected by a new update date. Questions, complaints and legal notices can be sent through the contact page or by post to the operator address above.
