Cookie Policy

This page explains the small amount of browser storage Local in English uses to operate securely.

Last updated: 12 September 2026

At launch we use essential technology only. We do not currently use optional analytics, behavioural advertising or social-media tracking cookies.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files saved by a website in your browser. Similar browser storage, such as session storage, can remember a setting for the current browser session.

What we use

Legal basis and consent

These technologies are used because they are necessary to provide a service requested by you, protect forms and accounts, and maintain the site. Optional cookies would be disabled until you make a choice. If we introduce analytics, personalised advertising or other optional tracking, we will update this policy and provide equally clear accept and reject controls before those technologies run.

How long they last

Session cookies and session-storage values normally expire when the relevant session ends. Authentication cookies may last longer so that members remain signed in, and are refreshed or removed as part of the account session. You can remove stored data through your browser settings, but doing so may sign you out or reset preferences.

Providers and updates

Supabase provides authentication and Cloudflare provides Turnstile human verification. Their own privacy information explains how they handle technical data. We will update this page when the technologies used by the site change.
